I am so grateful for the amazing team of volunteers that are faithfully teaching and serving in the various clubs throughout our chapter. Of course, the highlight of these clubs is when a child makes a profession of faith in Jesus! We know of at least 14 that have done so in the past week! Praise God!
As I continue to try to reach more schools that would consider holding a GNC in their facility, I remember that we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against unseen principalities. It should be obvious to us, as Christians, to understand that the enemy has been working for years to steal, kill and destroy our children, and his agenda has been embraced by the culture – including most public schools.
Honestly, the burden gets heavy and tiresome at times, but I am reminded from God’s Word, that we cannot grow weary from doing good, that the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, that the battle is not ours, but God’s, and how much God loves these children, and His desire is that none would perish. This gives me the strength to continue. God has His ways, and I am praying for connections – to network – with schoolteachers, administrators, parents – anyone that can help get us in the schools. A perfect example of this happened this past week. I had just received another confirming email regarding Hillsdale Elementary club, which is to start in November. They had reiterated that they were not able to distribute any information/fliers to the children, nor do they use the web-based distribution site, “Peachjar” anymore. This left me feeling a bit defeated. But then… I received a text from a mom from Moms In Prayer, who had touched bases with me months ago. She asked how things were going for Hillsdale, and if there was a way she could help! Yep! God-sent her! I met up with her, delivering fifty fliers that she planned to take door-to-door in the Hillsdale neighborhood! GOD HAS A PLAN!
We are still praying for open doors for schools in Caldwell and Middleton. Please pray with me for this, and that we continue to see children come to the clubs and to receive Jesus as their Savior.
