Father, this morning I come and dress myself in the Armor of God so that I will glorify You with my life today. I buckle on the Belt of Truth, the unchangeable standard of Your Word by which I govern and align my life. I secure in place the Breastplate of Righteousness, the Righteousness of Christ bought for me with His precious Blood, which by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit enables me to live a godly life. Next, I put on the Shoes of the Gospel of Peace that give me the deep inner, eternal stability I possess because of my relationship with Jesus. These shoes give me a balance that is not subject to external circumstances and allow me to walk in harmony and peace with others. I take up the Shield of Faith, by applying what I believe as I walk out the Truth I’m given through the WORD and as I’m empowered by the Holy Spirit. Therefore, I will not be deceived by the lies of the evil one that come against my faith daily. Finally, Lord, I put on the Helmet of my Salvation, my eternal security with Christ, and my full inheritance, blessings, status, and identity in Christ; everything needed to live a victorious life. Then I raise up the Sword of the Spirit, which is the present, relevant, personal Word of God available to me today. This Word is made powerfully alive in my life by the Holy Spirit of God Almighty.
