Day 18 Prayers
1.Praise God
God My Peace: I praise you with all my heart, Lord, because you are my Jehovah-Shalom (The Lord Our Peace) the God of peace who will soon crush Satan under Your feet. Rom. 16:20 The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet.
2. Personal Prayers from Colossians
Lord Jesus, please be at work in me to cause me to always be honest with others. Col. 3:9 Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices.
3. Biblical Virtues to Pray for your Children and Grandchildren
Perseverance: Father, help my children to understand perseverance and to see good examples of godly perseverance in our home, at church, and from other significant people in their live. Teach them to clearly see and run the race marked out for them as followers of Christ. Heb. 12:1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us,
4. Spiritual Dynamics for Teens
Reliability: Holy Spirit, please help teenagers and young adults to recognize what You have gifted them with and what You have entrusted to them. Teach them and strengthen them to be faithful with what they have received. 1Cor. 4:2 Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful.
5. Pray for Our Pastor
Father, I pray for quality friendships that are open and honest, that allow for confrontation and serious challenge to areas that You reveal as need to be brought to light and changed. Prov. 18:24 One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. Heb 10:24 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.
6. Pray for Our Church
Father, please stir the hearts and minds of Christ Followers to pray for and act toward unity within congregations and among different denominations so that the Name of Jesus will be glorified. Lord, in the Name of Jesus heal the wounds of unforgiveness and division within your own body in order that the world will know You were sent by the Father. John 17:11 I will remain in the world no longer, but they are still in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name, the name you gave me, so that they may be one as we are one. 1Peter 2:24 “He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.”
7. Prayers for Public Schools
Violence: “Lord, surround this school with Your angels to stay the hand of violence against the children and staff of this school. Dismantle any plan to bring harm to this school. Expose any weapon brought onto the school premises and render them harmless. Ps. 34:7 The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them.Ps. 57:1 Have mercy on me, my God, have mercy on me, for in you I take refuge. I will take refuge in the shadow of your wings until the disaster has passed.
8. Pray for People in Authority
Father God, I pray that You encourage all people in authority to seek godly friends and godly counsel. Holy Spirit help them to listen to and act according to godly wisdom. Ps. 1:1-3 Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers.
9. Prayers That Birth Revival
2Chron. 7:14 “If my people … and will humble themselves and will pray and SEEK MY FACE…”
Lord, please reveal to God’s people of the danger and disobedience of self-sufficiency. May they see their dire need for You Lord and submission and obedience to the Your Word. John 15:5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. 2Cor. 3:5 Not that we are competent in ourselves to claim anything for ourselves, but our competence comes from God. Neh. 6:16 When all our enemies heard about this, all the surrounding nations were afraid and lost their self-confidence, because they realized that this work had been done with the help of our God.
10. Prayer for Marriages
Father God, please bless Christian couples by leading them into ministries that they are both passionate about and that glorify You. 1Cor. 12:18 But in fact God has placed the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be. 1Cor. 12:25 so that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other.
11. Prayer for America
Jesus, You are the God of reconciliation, please bring genuine reconciliation to all the races in America. Remove unforgiveness, long held prejudices, hatreds, fears and hurts and replace them with forgiveness, understanding, healing, love and fellowship. Bring peace, friendship, fellowship and equal opportunity to all peoples and cultures. Eph. 2:14-16 For he himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, by setting aside in his flesh the law with its commands and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new humanity out of the two, thus making peace, and in one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross, by which he put to death their hostility.
12. Prayers to Bless Israel
God Almighty, raise up intercessors for Israel. Put more watchman on the walls of Jerusalem who would give You no peace day and night until You reestablish Jerusalem according to Your plans and purposes. Is. 62:6-7 I have posted watchmen on your walls, Jerusalem; they will never be silent day or night. You who call on the Lord, give yourselves no rest, and give him no rest till he establishes Jerusalem and makes her the praise of the earth.
