Day 17 Prayer
1.Praise God
God, My Victory: I praise You, my God, because You are my Jehovah-Nissi (The Lord My Banner) my God, my Victory, who always leads me in triumphal procession in Christ. 2Cor. 2:14 But thanks be to God, who always leads us as captives in Christ’s triumphal procession and uses us to spread the aroma of the knowledge of him everywhere.
2. Personal Prayers from Colossians
Lord Jesus, fill me with the power of Your Holy Spirit and strengthen me to put off anger, wrath, malice, slander, and abusive language from my mouth and to replace them with love, peace, joy, patience kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control Col. 3:5 Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry.
3. Biblical Virtues to Pray for your Children and Grandchildren
Joy: Bless the little children and fill them with the joy given by the Holy Spirit. 1Thes. 1:6 You became imitators of us and of the Lord, for you welcomed the message in the midst of severe suffering with the joy given by the Holy Spirit.
4. Spiritual Dynamics for Teens
Holiness: give teenagers godly role models, solid teaching on how-to walk-in Christlikeness and seek holiness in all their relationships, actions and their speech. 1Peter 1:16 for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.”
5. Pray for Our Pastor
Pray that the ministries of our pastors and church leaders will glorify God in love and oneness. John 17:24 “Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world.
6. Pray for Our Church
Pray for single parents and their children to find hope and help in Christ through His body – the church. Heb. 6:19 We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain.
7. Prayers for Public Schools
Children with Emotional Issues: God, work Your healing grace in the life of every emotionally troubled child who attends this school. Protect them and others from the anger, hurt, and fear that often surrounds them.
8. Pray for People in Authority
Pray that all in authority will seek pastoral care and counsel when needed. Heb. 13:7 Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith.
9. Prayers That Birth Revival
2Chron. 7:14 “If my people … and will humble themselves and will pray and “SEEK MY FACE…” Pray that God’s people and our national leaders would not trust in military strength, financial, might and strategies, or political power and influence to solve our difficulties. Pray they would seek God’s face in all decision making. Ps. 147:10-11 His pleasure is not in the strength of the horse, nor his delight in the legs of the warrior; the Lord delights in those who fear him, who put their hope in his unfailing love.
10. Prayer for Marriages
Lord, please help married couples support each other and come to YOU together in mutual submission to each other and to YOU seeking wisdom and discernment, when they face difficult or challenging situations. James 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.
11. Prayer for America
Father, we praise You that you have given us the beauty and creativity that we can express in the arts as ways to worship and glorify you. Let godly men and women come forth in the arts and entertainment fields who will seek to share your gospel message through their creative endeavors. Prov. 14:34 Righteousness exalts a nation,
but sin condemns any people.
12. Prayers to Bless Israel
Lord Jesus, we pray for the body of Messiah in Israel to become a praying mature body. We pray that this body would allow the love and compassion of Christ to flow through them and touch everyone they encounter.
