DAY 9 PRAYERS
1.Praise God
The Merciful God: You are a gracious and merciful God and I praise you for Your great mercy. Neh. 9:31 But in your great mercy you did not put an end to them or abandon them, for you are a gracious and merciful God.
2. Personal Prayers from Colossians
Father, I ask You to make my strong, stable. And fixed on the truth of the gospel. Col. 1:23 if you continue in your faith, established and firm, and do not move from the hope held out in the gospel. This is the gospel that you heard and that has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven, and of which I, Paul, have become a servant.
3. Biblical Virtues to Pray for your Children and Grandchildren
Respect for self, others, and authority: Father, grant that my children may show proper respect to everyone, as Your Word commands. 1 Peter 2:17 Show proper respect to everyone, love the family of believers, fear God, honor the emperor.
4. Spiritual Dynamics for Teens
Consistency: Pray they are faithful in all they do and that their faith does not waiver. James 1:6-8 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. 6 But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 7 That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. 8 Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.
5. Pray for Our Pastor
Pray for strength to overcome temptation and discernment in exposing any schemes of the devil. 1Cor. 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.
6. Pray for Our Church
Pray for the vision of the church to be aligned with God’s vision and to be clearly and compassionately communicated and for hearts to be stirred. Eph 1:18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people.
7. Prayers for Public Schools
Christian teachers: “Grant wisdom, Lord, for the Christian teachers in this school as they seek to live out their faith. Help them be salt and light. Protect them from doubt and fear. Strengthen their faith by drawing them into your Word, prayer, and fellowship with other believers.” Heb. 10:25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
8. Pray for People in Authority
That they respect and honor their own parents if living. Eph 6:2-3 “Honor your father and mother”—which is the first commandment with a promise— “so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth.”
9. Prayers That Birth Revival
“IF MY PEOPLE Will Humble Themselves and Pray” 2Chron. 7:14
Pray that Christians will seek God first each day privately, before getting physically involved in His work for the day. Matt 6:6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. Matt 6:33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Ps 32:6 Therefore let all the faithful pray to you while you may be found; surely the rising of the mighty waters will not reach them.
10. Prayer for Marriages
Pray for couples to humbly yield to each other as a way of honoring Jesus as Lord. Eph. 5:21 Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.
11. Prayer for America
Father, please heal the American family. Bring unsaved parents, absent parents and parents with addictions into a healing, restorative relationship with Jesus Christ. Give the children of these parents the opportunity to know Jesus as Savior. Put Christians in the lives of these families to help them grow in Christ.
12. Prayers to Bless Israel
The Lord brings the counsel of the nations to nothing; He makes their plans of no effect. We declare the God’s purposes for Israel will be completely fulfilled and that He will be glorified. Ps 33:10 The Lord foils the plans of the nations; he thwarts the purposes of the peoples.
