DAY 7 PRAYERS
1. Praise God
A faithful God: Heavenly Father, I give You my praise and adoration, because You are a faithful God, keeping Your covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love You and keep Your commandments. Deut. 7:9 Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments.
2. Personal Prayers from Colossians
Help me always remember that, as a believer, I have been delivered from darkness and brought into the kingdom of Your beloved Son. Col 1:13 For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves.
3. Biblical Virtues to Pray for your Children and Grandchildren
Justice: God, help my children to love justice as You do and act justly in all they do. Ps. 11:7 For the Lord is righteous, he loves justice; the upright will see his face. Mic. 6:8 He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.
4. Spiritual Dynamics for Teens
Diligence: Pray for willingness to work hard. 2 Pet. 1:5 He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God. Col 3:23 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.
5. Pray for Our Pastor
Pray for each pastor to love and respect the spouse, strengthening communication skills with each other (particularly listening to each other) and for increase quality time together. Eph. 5:33 However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.
6. Pray for Our Church
Pray that each believer in our church will seek a daily quiet time to be alone with God and in the Word. 2Tim. 2:15 Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth. Matt. 6:6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
7. Prayers for Public Schools
Principal: “May (name of Principal) recognize the God-given responsibility he/she has for the interests of the children who attend the school. May (name of principal) walk in wisdom, integrity, grace, and truth.” Prov. 2:1-11 My son, if you accept my words and store up my commands within you, turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding— indeed, if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding, and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God. For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. He holds success in store for the upright, he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless, for he guards the course of the just and protects the way of his faithful ones. Then you will understand what is right and just and fair—every good path. For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul. Discretion will protect you, and understanding will guard you.
8. Pray for People in Authority
That they read the Bible and attend prayer meetings and Bible studies. Ps. 119:11 I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.
9. Prayers That Birth Revival
“IF MY PEOPLE….” 2chron. 7:14 “Will Humble Themselves” Pray that God’s people would assume responsibility for the moral and spiritual erosion which has permeated not only our nation but also our world. Ezra 9:6 and prayed: “I am too ashamed and disgraced, my God, to lift up my face to you, because our sins are higher than our heads and our guilt has reached to the heavens. Ps. 51:16-17 You do not delight in sacrifice, or I would bring it; you do not take pleasure in burnt offerings. My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart you, God, will not despise.
10. Prayer for Marriages
I pray we will seek You for security and self-esteem rather that our spouse. Eph. 1:4 For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love Jer. 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
11. Prayer for America
We agree with You, Jesus, that the Church will be one, as You are one with the Father. Heal any divisions that exist between pastors and their congregations, and between denomination. Let the world see the Body of Christ united in love for one another and toward those whom You have come to save. John 17:21 that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.
12. Prayers to Bless Israel
The scepter of the wicked will not remain over the land allotted to the righteous. Father break the strongholds of religion, pride and wickedness that seek to control Israel. Ps. 125:3 The scepter of the wicked will not remain over the land allotted to the righteous, for then the righteous might use their hands to do evil.
